Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk

Date Added: September 13th, 2016 in News

alzheimers-oxfordWe are proud to be sponsoring six members of our Banbury team who are taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk
this coming weekend (18th September) in Oxford University Parks.

The Memory Walk sees thousands of people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland raising money to celebrate loved ones affected by dementia with which 225,000 people are diagnosed in this country every year, and to raise money to work towards a world without dementia in the future.

‘As we offer support to the elderly living with the challenges of dementia and to those supporting them on a daily basis,’ says Service Manager Rachel Linford from Day and Nightcare Assistance, Banbury, ‘we thought this was something else that we could do to make a difference. Alzheimer’s is also a personal cause for me as my family have been touched by dementia and as it has a hereditary component it may affect me directly in the future.’

‘We are proud to see so many members of our team involved in this initiative,’ says our Managing Director John Maloney, ‘and we’re delighted to be able to offer £500 sponsorship to help them along the way!
